IC Markets 2021 Review

  • IC Markets

IC Markets is an Australian broker based in Sydney. It was founded in 2007 and quickly became a leading broker that provides transparent market access with more than 200 instruments.

An independent icmarkets review shows a fast trend in how they, increased rapidly their shares on global financial market and now they are one of the market leading company.

Different types of accounts can satisfy both scalpers and long-term traders. Addition to that there are two different types of trading platforms available.

Main advantage of IC Markets is close to zero spreads, large leverage and ability to trade a large range of products, such as Stock, Indices, Bond, Futures, Commodities CFDs, as well as Forex and Cryptocurrencies.

  • Account Types

IC Markets offers three account options.

There are two Raw Spread accounts. One with cTrader and another with Meta-Trader platform. These accounts have the lowest possible spreads starting at 0.0 with $3 – $3.5 commission per $100K or per lot per size. This option is perfect for day traders and scalpers.

The third option is a  IC Markets‘Standard account’, which can be used through the Meta-Trader platform and there is no broker 'commission' charge for trading. However, the spreads are 1.0 PIPs. This account option is more suitable for long-term traders.

  • Trading Platform

An established icmarkets review recently revealed that the platform provides their customers with two trading platform options, depending on the account type.

cTrader platform is available for Raw Spread accounts. It has a nice professional design, user friendly interface and is perfect for high speed executions.

Standard account holders will use the worlds’ favorite Meta Trader. It has less elegant design, but very easy to navigate.

Additional option is ZuluTrade. This is a social trading platform where you can subscribe to a professional trader and copy his transactions.

  • Deposit & Withdraw

IC Markets’ provides variety of products to give their customers 24/7 access to the global markets.

60 forex pairs are available 24/5 on the most liquid financial market in the world; 17 Indices CFDs with low spreads from 0.5 PIPs; 19 different Commodities CFDs to trade energy, agriculture and metals products; 100 large capital Stock CFDs from the ASX, NYSE and NASDAQ stock exchanges; 5 government Bond CFDs issued from Japan, Europe, the U.K, and the U.S; addition to that IC Markets provide access to cryptocurrency markets and futures CFDs market.

  • Customer Support

IC Markets can be contacted via Phone, Email and Life Chat. There are very good free phone and Email support with quick relevant and helpful respond.

  • Safety

IC Markets is regulated by ASIC, FSA and hold clients’ money in segregated trust accounts at National Australia Bank (NAB) and Westpac Banking Corporation (Westpac). Both banks have AA Rating.

In addition, all electronic payments are processed using SSL (Secure Socket Layer) technology and are encrypted. These measures help ensure complete security of client accounts and funds.

  • IC Markets Pros and Cons

IC Markets has competitive low forex trading fees. It also takes a simplistic approach to onboarding, not only is the process fast and user-friendly the withdrawl and deposit options are well thought out and free.

Looking at the adverse side, IC markets has limitations in the number of products they offer including only CFDs and Forex. We also found some cards for example Mastercard Credit could not be accepted as a form of payment or withdrawal on the account. Finally, traders inside the EU you will be limited to 1:30 leverage and non-EU clients will not benefit from balance protection.

  • Final Thoughts

IC Markets is a great and secure broker. They provide different account types for every trading style and experience. IC Markets have outstanding client support and large range of trading instruments.

Close to zero spreads made them one of the leaders of financial service providers market.

After studying many brokers on the quest to find the world's top 10 brokers, IC Markets really impressed me, they have a state of the art core offering and lightning fast on boarding process.
